Juventus vs Borussia Dortmund
Competition: Champions League, 2014/2015 - Round of 16 (first leg)
Match date: Tuesday, 24 February 2015
Kick Off Time: 19:45 GMT
Venue: Juventus Arena, Torino, Italy

Juventus team is one of the teams with quality enough to be a possible threat when it comes to winning the UCL title. On good days they can play incredible football with great stars like Paul Pogba, Carlos Tevez and Andrea Pirlo. Generally italian football have taken a hit the previous years, but Juventus have maintained their level. That is why they are about to win the italian Serie A once again. Juventus are undefeated in the past 10 games, which includes seven wins. They are especially strong at home, where they have won five games in a row. Juventus advanced to the knockout phase with a 2nd place in a group with Atletico Madrid, Olympiakos and Malmö. Carlos Tevez will be a key player in this match, as he is their top goalscorer with 19 goals in all competitions. The Old Lady won their last game against Atalanta with 2-1, and they will aim for another one here, but it will be a tough one against the Germans.
Borussia Dortmund team have had a mixed season so far. They were fantastic in the UCL group phase, where they conquered Arsenal, Anderlecht and Galatasaray. On the other hand they were in the relegation zone in the Bundesliga earlier this season. Jürgen Klopp have turned things around though. Dortmund have now won the three last games, and they are about to move up in the Bundesliga table. Die Schwarzgelben are showing signs of their previous level. It is mainly due to the fact that all the important players are back in action. Especially the return of Marco Reus has made a difference. He extended his contract with the club not so long time ago, and he has scored in three consecutive games. Reus is a world class player, and he will certainly cause the italian defence some trouble. Borussia Dortmund are back at their best. They have scored 10 goals in the past three games, and we might witness a surprise in this game with Dortmund as clear underdogs.

Probable lineups:
-Juventus (4-3-1-2): Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chiellini, Evra; Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio; Vidal; Tevez, Morata.
-Borussia Dortmund (4-2-3-1): Weidenfeller; Piszczek, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer; Gundogan, Sahin; Kampl, Mkhitaryan, Reus; Aubameyang.

FC Basel vs FC Porto Champions League 18-02-2015

FC Basel vs FC Porto - Competition: UEFA Champions League

We have said that multiple Swiss champions are on paper valid for a total outsider for placement in the next round of the Champions League, but also they should by no means be underestimated since they managed to eliminate Liverpool in the group stage. Namely, this draw at Anfield in the last round meant that Basel will together with Real Madrid pass in the next round from that group, while they previously won more points at home where they celebrated against the Reds and the Bulgarian Ludogorets.
In addition they were still defeated twice by Real Madrid and away at Ludogorets, which only speaks that now against Porto, they will primarily look for their chance at home, because they themselves are aware that they have a tough rematch in the far west of Europe. Otherwise, the team of Basel has in the domestic league taken the leading position so they are on that side completely liberated, but coach Paulo Sousa is quite worried about the fact that he will be deprived of services of even three defenders against his great rival from playing days, because defender John and defender Traore are injured, while defender Schara is suspended.
As for the guests from Portugal, they have certainly been the luckiest team after the draw in the knockout stage of the Champions League, because they got the worst-ranked opponent from the second hat and they therefore have the role of big favourites in this duel. But to justify this on the ground, they should not underestimate the Swiss champions, so we already in the first match in Basel expect them to play very seriously, just as was the case in the group stage where they recorded four victories and only two draws.
In addition, in recent times they have improved their form in the domestic championship, where they after three consecutive victories approached the leading Benfica to just four points and they sure have every right to hope that they can in the rest of the season get to the title of champions. Otherwise, we should also mention that they in the last three matches have not received a single goal, while they scored eight, so their coach Lopetegui has absolutely no reason to change anything in the starting line-up of Porto for this duel in the Champions League, especially because at the moment he can count on all of his best players.

Probable lineups:
FC Porto: Fabiano – Danilo, Maicon, Marcano, Alex Sandro – Torres, Casemiro, Herrera – Quaresma, Martinez, Brahimi.
Basel: Vaclik – Xhaka, Samuel, Suchy, Safari – Elneny – Gonzalez, Frei, Zuffi, Gashi – Streller.

Match date: Wednesday, February 18, 2015

AS Saint-Etienne vs RC Lens
Competition: French Ligue 1, 2014/2015 (Matchday 24)
Match date: 06 February 2015
Kick Off Time: 19:30 GMT
Venue: Geoffroy Guichard (St. Etienne, France)

Coach Galtier finally realized the offensive deficiencies and tried to redress the situation. Unfortunately the change in system was of no use in-front of a club like Caen, who beat Saint Etienne 1-0 at home last round. Saint-Etienne, who are now same points as 5th-placed AS Monaco, have failed to score in three consecutive league games, remain seven points behind third-placed PSG. Galtier’s men need to put more emphasis on the offensive aspect in the upcoming match against Lens. Winger Monnet-Pacquet is still injured but St Etienne have enough attacking potential in midfield thanks to Hamouma and Mollo. ASSE are currently on 6th place in the home standings with 6 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats, a goal difference of 14:5 and 21 points.
Lens team lost two times in their previous four league matches and continued with weak efficiency. They currently sit on the 19th position, three points behind the safe zone. The left side is Lens’ main weapon. Most of Lens’ actions were started by fullback Boulanger, continued by play-maker Valdivia, who got engaged in fast paced actions with forward Coulibaly. However, their main strategy for stopping the opponent seemed to be agglomerating a certain area. Last round Ahmed Kantari scored an 80th-minute penalty to earn Lens a 1-1 draw against in-form Bastia at home. RC Lens dominated the early stages of the game, and they came agonisingly close to breaking the deadlock when Pierrick Valdivia dragged an effort just wide from the edge of the box. They are currently on 13th place in the away standings with 2 wins, 3 draws and 7 defeats, a goal difference of 9:16 and 9 points.

Probable lineups:
Saint-Etienne: Ruffier – Theophile-Catherine, Baysse, Perrin, Tabanou – Lemoine, Clement – Hamouma, Corgnet, Mollo – van Wolfswinkel.
RC Lens: Riou – Cavare, Gbamin, Kantari, Baal – Cyprien, Le Moigne, Valdivia, Nomenjanahary – Chavarria, Coulibaly.
