Suffering a massive 5-1 loss from Netherlands on their opening match,
Spain were determined to redeem themselves as they met Chile.
However,
it turned out to be another nightmare for Vicente Del Bosque's men as
instead of taking the lead, they found themselves trailing when Eduardo
Vargas scored on 20 minutes.
The South American side continue to
showcase their strength after doubling their lead just before half time
break with an effort from Charles Aranguiz. After the break, Spain
tried to improve their game, but nothing really changed as the
defending champion continue to struggle in breaking down their opponent.
No
more goals were scored in the second half as that result means that
Spain have to bid farewell to this WC campaign in such tragic
fashion.
