Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool - Competition: English Premier League
Maurico Pochettino’s men have not lost since the opening-day loss to
Man United, winning three and drawing four matches. No wins and
just three points from their opening four games raised questions, but
they have since picked up 10 from the next 12 available, including a
memorable 4-1 triumph over Manchester City. Spurs are now situated in
eighth position in the standings.
Eric Dier is suspended, so the fit-again Dembele could partner Dele Alli in the double-pivot in Mauricio Pochettino’s favoured 4-2-3-1 formation. Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason are also out while Danny Rose is available for selection. Summer signing Son Heung-min remains sidelined with a foot problem and this means that Erik Lamela will retain his starting berth behind Harry Kane.

Brendan Rodgers saw his time on Merseyside brought to an end two weeks
ago and former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has taken over a
side currently 10th in the table with just one win to their name in six
EPL fixtures. The Reds failed to produce more than one goal
in 10 of their 11 matches all season, needed penalties to overcome
League Two side Carlisle United in League Cup and drew against Sion in
UEL.
Klopp's opening week or so at Liverpool has not been without incident as Joe Gomez and Danny Ings have been ruled out for the rest of the season with anterior ligament damage. Philippe Coutinho is back in contention and will be tucked in behind Daniel Sturridge up front, given that Benteke is still injured. Roberto Firmino, Henderson and Jon Flanagan all remain sidelined through injury while Dejan Lovern is doubtful.
Liverpool team have won five successive league games against Tottenham but they have only won one of their last nine Premier League away games. Goals are usually the order of the day in this fixture – 25 goals have been scored in the last six encounters.
