Chelsea vs Manchester United  - Competition: Premier League

Chelsea team are unbeaten since Hiddink replaced Mourinho but they are still struggling for wins with only 3 wins in their latest 8 outings in all competitions. The Blues followed up a 1-0 away win at Arsenal with a 5-1 success over MK Dons in FA Cup. The improved form has helped push away the spectre of relegation and there is an outside chance of them even finishing in the top-six. Anyway, a goalless draw at Watford in midweek means Hiddink's men have still not registered back-to-back win in EPL this season.
Guus Hiddink could hand a recall to Eden Hazard. That would see Cesc Fabregas drop back alongside John Obi Mikel at the base of midfield in the 4-2-3-1 formation, with Oscar and Willian joining the Belgian in the attacking midfield trio. Alexandre Pato is a way of being fit to feature having not featured competitively since November. Pedro will be assessed after picking up a minor groin problem but is expected to be fit while Loic Remy and Falcao are also out.
Man United, who ran out 3-1 winners over Derby County in last week’s FA Cup tie at the iPro Stadium, enter this match on the back of a fine 3-0 win over Stoke City in midweek and now a top-four finish is a more pressing target and the Reds are five points short of fourth place. The pressure is still firmly on Van Gaal, but the Dutchman's record against the so-called bigger teams in the top flight is actually very strong - they beat Liverpool 1-0 a couple of weeks ago.
Louis van Gaal could name an unchanged side as Jesse Lingard, Mata and Anthony Martial will be expected to form the attacking midfield trio in the 4-2-3-1 formation, with Wayne Rooney continuing as the lone striker. Anyway, Morgan Schneiderlin could come in for Maraoune Fellaini in the only change. Matteo Darmian, Chris Smalling, Delay Blind and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson appear likely to form the back four once again. Schweinsteiger, Rojo, Valencia and Young are still sidelined.
Chelsea are undefeated in their last 9 matches against Man Utd in all competitions. Louis van Gaal's men were held to a 0-0 draw by Chelsea on 28 December and the Dutchman is yet to beat the Blues during his short reign at Old Trafford, following last season’s 1-1 home draw and the 1-0 defeat in west London.
