Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid
Competition: UEFA Champions League, Quarterfinal

Borussia Dortmund lost the first match of the quarterfinal in Madrid and left very weak impression. 3:0 – It isn’t a result they expected to get. The performance of the Dortmunders was simply bad and against well-structured team such as Real Madrid, they didn’t stand a chance. Today’s Borussia Dortmund are nothing and play nothing like the team from the last year’s Champions League. It seems that even with Robert Lewandowski playing they still would have had big difficulties. Borussia still have some huge problems with injuries in the team that, once again, will be a huge disadvantage for the manager Klopp. On the other hand in the upcoming game can play and will certainly play Robert Lewandowski who is a significant reinforcement for the line-up. Moreover it is worth to mention that Dortmunders beat in the last Bundesliga round VfL Wolfsburg 2:1 and in a better moods before the game against Real. However with this injury problems and with this result, it is very unlikely for Borussia to win and to beat Real Madrid being simply in a better shape.
It seems that Real Madrid managed to beat the crisis. They won the last three games scoring 12 goals and losing none. It started with the win 5:0 against Rayo Vallecano. Then came a very important win at home against Dortmund in CL (3:0) and in the last game – in Primera Division – they won 4:0 against Real Sociedad. In that last game they played without C. Ronaldo who has some minor injury. The victory in Champions League against Dortmund makes them a clear favourite in the upcoming match in Germany. Real showed a very well-structured and strategically consistent football. They controlled the game the whole time and with the fast scored goal (3 minute, Bale) they managed to force their own pace in the game. On the one hand Real Madrid are more than half-way in the semifinal but they have to be cautious playing in Dortmund and not to lose their cool.
