Liverpool team head into the game on the back of a dramatic 3-2 victory
against QPR on Sunday, in which they needed two own-goals to secure all
three points. Rogers' men are struggling in Champions League as they
managed an unconvincing win against Ludogorets and lost to FC Basel in
Switzerland. Now the Reds currently sit three points behind Madrid in
Group B.
Daniel Sturridge will be missing until November sometime with a calf strain. Mario Balotelli could be set to get another run out, despite his poor performances of late. The Reds could also be without defender Mamadou Sakho while Alberto Moreno, Philippe Coutinho and Javi Manquillo likely to be recalled.
Real Madrid are in devastating form. The Spanish side have won both of their last two results by five nil, and have recorded nineteen goals in their last five fixtures. Despite their La Liga success and a 5-1 win at home to Basel in their opening group match, Real were less than convincing in their second Champions League outing against Ludogorets.
Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale misses out through injury, with Isco set to replace him in the starting line-up. Raphael Varane is out with a virus, Fabio Coentrao also misses out but Benzema has recovered from a hip injury.
